Holiday blessings

A whirlwind of emotions for the holidays and I couldn’t be happier with the way my Christmas weekend turned out. Normally, my Christmas Eve is spent at my sister’s house with just my immediate family. This year I was able to spend it with just me and Adam. ❤️ His work schedule has been extremely chaotic and demanding because of the storms and snow that has been coming down affecting power outages in NY.

We were finally able to have a quiet evening together at his house on the Dec. 24th. We ordered pizza in, turned on a Netflix movie and just relaxed. Of course before we got too comfortable we exchanged gifts. And it’s just so funny that we practically gifted each other similar things. But of course, who doesn’t love smell goods and cozy fits. I stepped a little outside of the box and made Adam something to remember our special moments. It’s almost going to be 1 year since we’ve made our relationship official and we shared so many fun adventures in 2020. I brought that to life by making him an explosion box. And before you ask, I’m a crafty person but this was a lot more challenging than what YouTube tutorials make it seem.

On Christmas Day, I went straight to my sister’s house to watch my nephews open up their presents while Adam had to go to work. I know right ! He had to work Christmas Day 😭but that’s why I made sure to spend Christmas Eve with him so he wouldn’t be alone.

After having some fun with my nephews, my family and I headed to my brother’s house. He just moved in August so this was his first time hosting the family for a holiday. We also had a secret santa planned for our gifts because you know as you get older it’s tough buying everyone a gift. We wanted to save some money and just do a secret santa gift exchange. This turned out really fun. My brother’s wife, Rosey, set it up with her family and mine. It was a Christmas Pajama Party Gift Exchange. Yes pajamas ! We even had a PJ contest! My parents won lol Overall, I really enjoyed the Christmas weekend especially since my family and I didn’t get to spend Thanksgiving together.
