Blogmas Day 9: Family Love

I thought it would be a good idea to make a post about what I am most thankful for this holiday. I previously made a post that was a reflection of 2017 and how good it has been to me. But this time I want to focus a bit more on the people I have around me. Everyone isn’t blessed to have a great support system. My family really tops the cake with that one. I don’t see them everyday because we are all busy with work but I know I can always call whenever I need a pep talk or to vent. Whether it’s my mom, sister or brother I receive a text or call at least once a week to check up on me and the things going on in my life.

Living in my own space this year has taught me a lot about the challenges I am able to overcome. You really don’t know how you will react to different scenarios until you are faced with them. And even if I don’t believe in myself as much as I should, I have people around me that always remind me that all you can do is try your best. Trying is really all that matters. The worst thing is to fail at something because you didn’t try your hardest. That can be with work, school or relationships. Always leave yourself with no room for regrets. This year more than others I have probably experienced the most amount of stress. And if you know me, then you know I’m not good with stress and the anxiety that comes along with it. I tend to lean on my best friend Myoshi and my other close friends when I’m feeling really overwhelmed because I need comfort. And I know I’m not the easiest to deal with but I hope that you know I appreciate you, CB. You might not always have the best ways of showing you care, but you definitely try to teach me life lessons. You remind of all the good things I’m surrounded by as often as you can so that I realize that things happen but they will pass.

And what are you most thankful for?
