Thankful

It’s been a while and I’m just going to start by saying what a crazy year it has been. Here are some quick things to bring you up to speed. Work has been so busy for me with project deadlines from August until now. But I must say it has been rewarding. I received a promotion to a new role and I can’t say enough about how thankful I am for the opportunity to grow.

My personal life has also been all over the place but I’m trying to stay grounded. I was able to go back to the gym for a bit and get back to my normal self. Covid has been rough on everyone to some degree and the gym gave me a reason to at least get out of the house.

I was definitely excited when approaching the holidays. Thanksgiving and Christmas is always a fun time with my family, however this year was different. Unfortunately, we had to cancel our normal family get together for Thanksgiving due to Covid. What I can say is that I’m just hoping we can still celebrate Christmas as a family.

Here's a quick throwback to last year’s Thanksgiving and celebration for my mom and grandma’s birthdays:

But I’m really appreciative that I was able to celebrate a little bit at my apartment with Myoshi, Adam and Farad. She cooked a little Thanksgiving meal for us and it was perfect! (Mac & cheese, shrimp rasta pasta, yams and stuffed salmon 😊) I even got a chance to just spend time with Adam and his family. It’s the little things that really make me smile and I can’t thank my loved ones enough.

Just looking at 2020 and realizing the personal growth I’ve made and the support system I have around me is incredible. It’s almost like wow did it take a pandemic to really see who is there for you during the ups and downs.

On a brighter note, these next couple of posts will be a dump of content of the past few months. Even with the lockdown, I was still able to share some fun moments.
